Grilling the BBQlicious Way

Grilling is an art, but it’s one that anyone can master with a few simple rules. At BBQlicious, our chefs have perfected the marinades, but the final touch—the fire—is in your hands.

Here are 5 secrets to ensuring your BBQ is juicy, tender, and full of flavor every single time.

1. Preheat Your Grill

Patience is key. If your grill isn’t hot enough, your meat will steam instead of sear. You want that distinct “hiss” the moment the meat touches the grate. This locks in the juices and creates that beautiful char we all love.

2. Don’t Flip Too Often

We know it’s tempting to keep moving the meat, but let the fire do the work. Flipping a burger or steak constantly prevents a crust from forming. A good rule of thumb? Flip only once.

3. Room Temperature Matters

Never throw ice-cold meat directly onto a hot grill. It shocks the fibers and makes the meat tough. Let your BBQlicious box sit out for 20 minutes before grilling to ensure even cooking.

4. Let It Rest

This is the most important step! When you take meat off the grill, the juices are bubbling on the surface. If you cut it immediately, those juices run out, leaving your meat dry. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes so the juices can redistribute.

5. Quality Ingredients Win

You can have the best technique in the world, but if the ingredients aren’t premium, the taste won’t be there. We use only high-quality cuts and chef-crafted marinades to ensure that half the work is already done for you.
